Where Netwerkkabel.eu stood
One brand, two shops. Products, prices, content and customers lived twice, so every change had to be made twice as well. The catalog is deeply technical: cable categories, lengths, shielding types and connectors, all with their own search demand. The team wanted a modern base that could scale, without losing the shop people already knew.
- 01Two Lightspeed environments with separate stock, content and customer data
- 02More than a million items in a technical catalog with many variants
- 03Category and product pages that rank on specific cable searches
- 04Maintenance that doubled with every product or content change
How the move ran
Discovery, data migration, SEO migration and storebuild, in three months.
Discovery
A full scan of both Lightspeed stores: data volume, field mapping, overlap between the two catalogs, and every exception worth naming before anything was touched.
Data migration
More than a million items moved to Shopify: products, variants, customer profiles, order history and content. Custom fields became metafields, product options became variants, categories became collections in the Shopify taxonomy.
SEO migration
Every URL from both stores mapped to its new address, with redirects checked before go live so the rankings on cable searches stayed where they were.
Storebuild
The Syncer Framework theme gave the shop a fresh, custom design that keeps the familiar look. Shopify Markets, the backend and the admin setup were prepared so the team could run everything themselves.
