Data migration:legacy data restructured to Shopify taxonomywithout losing a single recordwith every attribute mappedcleaner than the source it leftversioned and repeatable

Migrations do not break on the standard 60% of the data. They break on the other 40%: custom attributes, content that does not map one on one, taxonomy that does not match, values that grew inconsistent over years.

how data migration works

Legacy data, restructured into Shopify taxonomy.

We read your source platform, classify every field and transform it into the Shopify structure that fits. Nothing is flattened, nothing is lost.

01

Read and classify

Every source field is read in and classified. Custom attributes, content entities, customer groups and order history are catalogued before a single record moves.

02

Map and transform

Each field gets a destination: metafields, metaobjects, variants, collections or segments. HTML is stripped, values are normalised and numbers are formatted. Every modifier is versioned.

03

Divert entities

Blogs, specifications and custom content do not get flattened. They flow into metaobject structures that preserve the original taxonomy, with redirects generated automatically.

04

Validate and clean

Duplicate values merge, broken references are flagged and every batch is verified against the source. Run three matches run one, exactly.

what gets mapped

Every record, mapped to the right Shopify home.

Each data stream runs on its own pipeline and reports its own progress, so you always know what landed and what is still moving.

inside data migration

Specialised in data and SEO migration.

Data migration is not an export and an import. It is a transformation engine that restructures legacy data into the Shopify taxonomy, versioned and repeatable.

A transformation engine, not a CSV tool

Migrations break on the 40% that does not map one on one. Custom attributes, content entities and taxonomy are restructured, not flattened into a spreadsheet.

Shopify taxonomy mapping

Source categories are mapped to the official Shopify taxonomy, so products land ready for Shop, Google Merchant and AI shoppers. No retrofitting after launch.

Metaobject structures

Blogs with posts, tags, topics and authors flow into metaobject structures that keep the original taxonomy. Redirects are generated automatically.

Versioned transformations

Every modifier is versioned and runs identically in every sync. Run three matches run one, so you can rerun without surprises.

Value cleaning

Duplicate values like Vegan, vegan and VEGAN merge into one. Inconsistent naming is normalised. Broken references are flagged and routed to a clean fix.

Data and SEO combined

We do not just move data. We restructure it for Shopify and protect the SEO behind every URL, so traffic and rankings survive the move.

before, during and after

The data is cleaner than what left the source.

01

Scan and classify

We read your platform, classify every field and confirm what can be mapped before any commitment is made.

02

Map and transform

Fields flow into metafields, metaobjects, variants and collections. You review the mapping before a single record moves.

03

Every batch is verified. The data that lands is cleaner than the source, and Syncer SEO Guard keeps the rankings measured against the baseline.
