Kappershandel is the online specialist for professional salon products. From hair care and colour to tools and salon supplies — with sharp prices, fast delivery and service that thinks along with hairdressers and beauty salons.


Kappershandel ran five separate Lightspeed stores, each with their own range, audience and way of working. The goal was to migrate all stores to Shopify while preserving identity and continuity. The stores were monsterclippers.com, kappershandel.nl, wahl.shop, kapperssale.com and tondeuse.shop.

Approach with a steady cadence

Together we chose a predictable pace in which one shop went live each month. This cadence gave room for preparation, test migrations, validation and team training. That kept the pace high and the quality constant, without unnecessary pressure on operations and customer service.

A data migration that adds up

Per shop, products, variants, customers, orders and content were carefully mapped and migrated. Thanks to tight controls and trial runs, historical data stayed intact and catalogue, filters and navigation slotted in logically within Shopify. Reports and metrics are reliable from day one.

Five times a renewed design

Each shop got its own fresh look fitting the brand and audience. The design is built on the same components and principles, so management stays efficient and the brand family remains recognisable. Imagery, copy and product presentation are optimised per shop for conversion and speed.

A back office that works with you

The Shopify environments are set up with clear roles and permissions, streamlined collection and pricing structures and reports the team uses daily. This lets each shop team work independently, while management keeps the same insights everywhere.

A go-live without noise

During every go-live, order flows and customer service stayed available. Redirects and indexation were neatly arranged, keeping findability and ads running. Teams received clear runbooks and checklists, so everyone could continue right away.

All five shops now run on Shopify with a uniform technical foundation and room for brand and range differences. Management is clearer, further development goes faster and the shopping experience is more consistent. The monthly cadence proved itself as a reliable rhythm that kept complexity manageable.
