Plan in three blocks. Data mapping first: every product, property set, customer group and order needs a defined target in the Shopify model. SEO continuity second: redirects and structured data live before go live, never patched after. Cutover third: with live sync running, the old shop keeps selling until DNS flips.
The most common failure is treating the migration as a CSV export. Shopware holds live data. A snapshot taken on Friday is already wrong on Monday, and every wrong record shows up as a support ticket.
A realistic Shopware to Shopify timeline is eight to fourteen weeks from kickoff to cutover, with ranking monitoring continuing for ninety days after launch.
